The Chicago Cubs have been shuffling the lower levels of their organization ahead of the trade deadline, looking to recapture some strong momentum from the beginning of the season to help drive a playoff push in the second half.

"He goes deep into games," manager Craig Counsell said. "That's the ability that we sorely need and are going to need for the second half."

The Tuesday night meeting between the Cubs and Orioles, originally slated for a 5:35 p.m. Central first pitch, began in a weather delay.
