Bonus tip👇🏾 👉🏾Don’t microwave your butter to try to get it to room temp or soften up. You will most likely overheat it which will make it runny which will lead to too soft buttercream. Take out what you need the night before to come to room temp 📌All my recipes are 20% off during the month of January & all classes are 50% off. Idk why, but it works🤷🏽‍♀️ Everytime I post this there’s at least 1 baker who went to pastry school that tries to tell me this is wrong & the quality isn’t as good because I use cold ingredients & batter🙄 I say do what works for you. If you’ve tested it, it works & your clients love it, do you. It’s your business. Comment “LEVEL UP” to grab my Cupcake Recipe Book with 17 cupcake, filling & buttercream recipes to add to your menu #baker #homebaker #bakery #homebakery | Flick of the Whisk-Custo

1 recipe. Multiple toppings. That’s the shortcut. Did a “silent” sale of these a couple months ago (meaning no huge marketing other than my client email list) & sold 43 boxes. Imagine the sales if I would have shared it on social media too? 1️⃣Bake my Chocolate Chip Fudge Brownie recipe 2️⃣Pick 3-4 “sauces” (I did cookie butter, milk chocolate, white chocolate, & caramel) 3️⃣Add 3-4 toppings (I did biscoff cookie, raspberry, Oreo & snickers) 4️⃣Advertise them as a limited-release dessert box or

Here’s the price breakdown: 📌Comment “BROWNIE” if you need links to the brownie, boxes & sauce cups. 👉🏾Scratch-made brownies: ~$6.25/pan (I get 24 brownie squares/pan so $3.12 spent on ingredients/box) 👉🏾Box: $0.86 (If you buy the 15 pack. $0.54/box if you buy the 50 pack) 👉🏾Sauce containers: $0.18 per cup. 4 containers per box=$0.72 👉🏾Sauces: ~$0.34/ounce (each cup holds 1 ounce). 4 ounces/box=$1.36 ✨So I’m spending about ~$6/brownie box. Total prep & assembly time is 30-45 mins. I don

It’s gonna sound real simple, but…. I add more batter to the pan😳😲🫢🫨😱 It sounds simple because it is. & this isn’t shade to any baker. I figured out how to get thick layers by experimenting with adding different amounts to the pan until I got my desired thickness then took note of that. 📌Oh & all my recipes are 20% off this month. Comment “SHOP” for the link (& to grab my amazing red velvet cake recipe so you can get tall thick layers like this😉) #baker #buttercreamcakes #cake #homebaking

Being a business owner is 90% operating on delusion & plans that don’t always go as planned & 10% actually getting it right the first time. Like these 4 dozen cupcakes that I overbaked & unfortunately had to rebake. I could have said “🤷🏽‍♀️whatever they’ll be fine” but then I probably would have heard from my customer hours later saying they were dry & nasty. Then I would have wished I just started over. Mistakes are necessary to learn what not do next time. Or to just test your patience lol.

Yes, the obvious is that when raising your prices you make more money, but it’s not always that simple: 1️⃣I stand on my boundaries, including my prices. I don’t budge or revert back to my old pricing when a customer questions them or when I go a while without getting inquiries. 2️⃣I don’t hide my pricing. I’m very upfront about my minimums & what they can expect to pay. 3️⃣I always ask their budget & remind them of my minimums so we’re not wasting each other’s time. 3️⃣I don’t just say “no”. I

When I decided to start offering wedding cakes, I grew fast by taking all the small & simple orders a lot of other bakers considered too “boring”. While the actual design may have been simple, the challenge was learning that an all white cake doesn’t mean an easy design. With minimal decor, there is little to no room for error because you have nothing to cover it up. This is when I perfected my buttercream recipe so I could get smooth, perfect sides that make people ask “is that fondant?”. 👉🏾I
